17 Apr 24: His Grace Bishop George made Archpastoral visit to the Holy Protection parish Cabramatta
On 14 April 2024, the 4th Sunday of Great Lent dedicated to St John of the Ladder (Climacus), His Grace George, Bishop of Sydney Australia & New Zealand made an archpastoral visit to the Holy Protection parish in Cabramatta. Co-serving the Divine Liturgy with His Grace were the parish clergy; Archpriest Boris Ignatievsky (parish rector), Priest Andrew Morgan and Protodeacon Basil Konstantinidis.
The parish choir sang reverently under the direction of reader Eustratius Papageorgiou.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop George addressed the faithful with words of spiritual edification. Everyone present were then invited for lunch in the parish hall.
At 1pm the Russian Male Choir of Australia performed a Great Lent fundraising concert with all proceeds going towards their upcoming tour to Serbia.
