28 Jul 25: Feast Day of St Vladimir Celebrated at Centennial Park

Co-serving with His Eminence were Archpriest Daniel Metlenko, parish rector, Deacon Mark Shigelski, and clergy from the Sydney Deanery. Despite it being a regular working day, the church was filled with faithful parishioners, the majority of whom partook of Holy Communion.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a cross procession took place around the church. Upon its conclusion, Archbishop George offered his heartfelt congratulations to Fr Daniel, Deacon Mark, and the parishioners on their feast day. The traditional “Many Years” was joyfully intoned by the protodeacon.
The celebration continued in the church hall, where the parish sisterhood warmly invited everyone to share in a festive luncheon, fostering a spirit of unity and fellowship among all present.
The day served as a beautiful testament to the spiritual life of the parish and their deep veneration for their heavenly patron, St Vladimir.
