\"\"<\/a>On Monday, January 6, 2025, on the eve of the Nativity of Christ, a solemn divine service was held at the Cathedral of Sts Peter and Paul in Strathfield. The Divine Liturgy was led by His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n

The service began with the reading of the Royal Hours, a special service for the feast of the Nativity of Christ. This was followed by the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great.<\/p>\n

After the Liturgy, a candle was brought out in the centre of the church, symbolizing the light of Christ that illuminates the world. The parishioners gathered around and solemnly sang the troparion and kontakion of the Nativity of Christ.<\/p>\n
