With profound pain the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church has taken the report of the Patriarchate of Constantinople published on October 11, 2018, about the following decisions of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople: confirming the intention “to grant autocephaly to the Ukrainian Church; opening a “stauropegion” of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in Kiev; “restoring in the rank of bishop or priest” the leaders of the Ukrainian schism and their followers and “returning their faithful to church communion”; “recalling the 1686 patent of the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the transfer of the Metropolis of Kiev to the Moscow Patriarchate as its part. В понедельник, 10 сентября 2018, после тяжелой и продолжительной болезни отошла ко Господу матушка Кира Михайловна Протопопова, супруга митр. протоиерея Михаила Протопопова старейшего клирика Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии.
Отпевание матушки состоится в понедельник, 17 сентября в 10:00, в Богородице-Успенском Храме г. Данденонг.
Епархиальное управление выражает глубокие соболезнования о. Михаилу, родным и близким.

On Sunday, 2 September 2018, the feast day of Prophet Samuel, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield together with Archpriest George Lapardin, dean of the cathedral, protodeacons Alexander Kotlaroff, Constantine Moshegov, Martin Naef and deacon Michael Storozhev.
Following the Great Entrance, deacon Michael Storozhev was ordained to the rank of Priest. Fr Michael is assigned to the clergy staff of the cathedral. After the service the sisterhood prepared a festive lunch for all who attended.

On Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of August 2018, the great feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord, Bishop George of Canberra celebrated the Divine Services at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfied NSW. Co-serverd with His Grace were the cathedral clergy.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop George blessed the fruit brought by the parishioners as per the tradition of the Holy Church. (more…)

Утро 2 июля 2018 года было самым холодным в году. Так же холодно было на душе. Сегодня члены семьи, родственники, прихожане храма в честь иконы «Всех скорбящих Радость» и других приходов Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии, жители Джилонга собрались вместе при гробе протоиерея Симеона Кичакова, чтобы справиться с горем, исцелить душевные раны, скорбь претворить в величайшую радость духовную.
Тело отца Симеона готовили к погребению протоиерей Николай Далинкевич и протодиакон Василий Козулин. Они крестообразно обтерли его елеем, смешанным с красным вином. После обтирания тело одели в обычные одежды, ибо усопший должен облечься в нетление (1 Кор 15:53), а затем его облачили во всю священническую белую одежду, что означает, что усопший предстанет перед Богом именно как священник и будет давать отчет в той миссии, какая была на него возложена. Священническое белое облачение, в которое одели отца Симеона, купила ему его мать, Мария Михайловна Кичакова, почившая 15 ноября 2017 года. Именно в нем отец Симеон завещал его похоронить. (more…)

Для любого священнослужителя, где бы он ни начинал своё служение, жизнь начинается с нуля. Нужно завоевать доверие прихожан, разобраться в разнице их духовной жизни, помнить, что нет права на созерцание, а есть право на созидание.
19 лет назад протоиерей Симеон Кичаков начал свою жизнь с нуля, получив свой первый приход Всех Скорбящих Радость в Джилонге, в котором служил до ухода на покой по болезни. (more…)
