В храме 65 человек, большинство раньше вместе не пело никогда. Позади насыщенный впечатлениями день, восемь часов почти непрерывного пения. Регент, седовласый священник со строгими глазами, даёт тон. Он тоже устал, только что после перелёта с другой части глобуса. Первая читка нот с листа, где не до эмоций и впечатлений, попасть бы в свою партию. (more…)

В этом году на поминальной церемонии была открыта еще одна страница «неизвестной войны…» – “Русско-Персидская война. Пятый фронт.”
10 сентября (на кануне дня памяти Усекновения главы Пророка, Иоанна Предтечи, когда по православной традиции поминаются все воины «положившие свой живот за Веру, Царя и Отечество») в парке при военном мемориальном комплексе Мельбурна “SHRINE OF REMEMBRANCE” у поминальной плиты под раскидистым ясенем служилась заупокойная лития в память о Русской Императорской армии и 1000 русских граждан, служивших в Австралийских частях в годы Первой Мировой войны (1914 – 1918 гг). Встреча с человеком необычной, редкой судьбы, приехавшей к нам из Святой Земли, состоялась в воскресенье 30 июля в зале при Петропавловском соборе в Стратфилде. Сестра Марфа (Валль), родившаяся в немецкой семье, выросшая в Германии, оказалась на Святой Земле в Гефсиманском монастыре и была назначена директором православной школы для девочек, расположенной в Вифании. Православная школа, в которой занимаются около 400 арабских девочек, была создана около 80 лет назад. Читайте статью здесь

On Friday 14 July 2017 at 5pm AEST the clergy and the youth of the Australian & New Zealand Diocese gathered at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Strathfield for the Symposium Syezd, in commemoration of the New Martyrs of Russia 100-years later. (more…)
On Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday 12th July 2017, the feast day of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, divine services were held in the Diocesan Cathedral, Strathfield in honour of the parish’s feast day. The All-Night Vigil was led by His Grace Bishop George of Canberra joined by the Cathedral clergy and clergy from the neighbouring parishes. (more…)

We, the hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, gathered for a Council of Bishops in the God-preserved city of Munich during the celebration of the Pentecost, in the blessed presence of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign.” This year we remember with sorrow the hundredth anniversary of the terrible, bloody events of 1917; we are at the same time filled with joy over the anniversary of the restoration of the patriarchate and the tenth anniversary of the reestablishment of unity within the Russian Church.
