On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2018, His Grace Bishop George celebrates the services at the Holy Protection Cathedral Melbourne. Co-served with His Grace were the cathedral clergy.
On Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of August 2018, the great feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord, Bishop George of Canberra celebrated the Divine Services at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfied NSW. Co-serverd with His Grace were the cathedral clergy.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop George blessed the fruit brought by the parishioners as per the tradition of the Holy Church. (more…)
On Saturday, 28 July 2018, the 1,030th Anniversary of Baptism of Russia, Saint Vladimir’s Parish in Centennial Park celebrated its Patronal feast day. The All-Night Vigil and the Divine Liturgy were celebrated by His Grace Bishop George of Canberra together with the parish rector Archpriest Daniel Metlenko and clergy from the Diocese.
The church was filled with parishioners and other faithful who gathered to celebrate the parish feast day. After the service the sisterhood prepared a festive lunch for all who attended.
On Saturday the 9th and Sunday 10th June 2018, the feast of All Saints of Russia, the Divine services were held in Croydon NSW in honour of the parish’s names day. On Saturday evening, the All-Night Vigil was led by His Grace Bishop George of Canberra. Co-celebrating with Bishop George were priest Simon Nekipelov (rector), priest Dionysios Halim, protodeacons Alexander Kotlaroff and Constantine Moshegov.
In the early morning the following day, the lessor blessing of the waters was served by Fr. Dionysios. At 9am the clergy greeted His Grace Bishop George and the Divine Liturgy commenced. The church was full with the faithful and the choir lead by reader Lawrence Boikov sang reverently.
After the Liturgy, a festal banquet was held in the church hall and the marquee was put up to cater for those that did not fit in the hall. The sisterhood prepared plenty of delicious lenten food and everyone enjoyed the warm hospitality. (more…)
Христос Воскресе! Традиционно Престольный праздник храма в честь Воскресения Христова отмечается через неделю после Святой Пасхи, в Фомино воскресение. В эти дни в Новой Зеландию с архипастырским визитом прибыл Преосвященнейший Георгий, епископ Канберрский. 14 апреля, в субботу, духовенство и православные прихожане города Окленда с радостью встретили владыку в сербском храме в честь краля Милютина, после чего началось Всенощное бдение. Редакция газеты Единение побывала на пасхальной службе в Петропавловском соборе в Стратфилде. Пасхальная ночь в Сиднее в 2018 году выдалась на удивление теплой. Кажется, лето не желает уступать свое место. С 11 часов вечера к Петропавловскому собору, расположенному на тихой и уютной улочке сиднейского района Стратфилд, постоянно подъезжали и подходили люди. On Sunday, 1 April 2018 the feast day of the Lord’s Entrance into Jerusalem, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra celebrates the divine services at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral. Co-celebrating with His Grace were the cathedral dean Archpriest George Lapardin, protodeacon Alexander Kotlaroff and deacon Michael Storozhev. The Cathedral was full with the faithful and the choir lead by Andrei Laptev sang reverently.
At the completion of the liturgy, Bishop George congratulated protodeacon Alexander with his 20th anniversary serving as a deacon. Many years was intoned. (more…)
