На пасхальной неделе, в субботу 18 апреля, в Свято-Николаевском храме в Ферфилде состоялась литургия, на которой присутствовал митрополит Иларион. В этот день владыка рукоположил в диаконы Семена Полоротова.
Редактор «Единения» побывал на службе и задал вопросы настоятелю прот. Никите Чемодакову и новому диакону Семену Полоротову.

On Tuesday 6 May and Wednesday 7 May the clergy and faithful of the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield, together with clergy of the Sydney Deanery, celebrated the feasts of Mid-Pentecost and of the Great-Martyr and Trophy-Bearer George. The feast of Saint George was observed with a special joy this year as it was the name-day of our newly-inducted Diocesan Administrator, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra, as well as that of long-serving cathedral cleric Archpriest George Lapardin.
All-night vigil was served on Tuesday evening with Bishop George and Father George being joined by Priest James Carles (rector of the Gosford and Newcastle parishes), cathedral clerics Protodeacons Alexander Kotlaroff and Constantine Moshegov, and Deacon Edward Waters (Archangel Michael parish, Blacktown). В Неделю Антипасхи Высокопреосвященнейший митрополит Иларион Первоиерарх Русской Зарубежной Церкви и Преосвященнейший Георгий Епископ Канберрский совершили Литургию в Петропавловском Кафедральном Соборе Стратфильд.
Архипастырям сослужили ключарь собора прот. Георгий Лапардин, иеромонах Тихон (Гайфудинов) протод. Александр Котляров, диакон Константин Мошегов и иеродиакон Пантелеимон (Жигалин). (more…)

16 апреля в Сидней из США прилетел викарный епископ Мэйфильдский владыка Георгий. В этот раз это не просто визит, владыка теперь будет жить и работать в Австралии, помогать высокопреосвященнейшему митрополиту Илариону в руководстве Австралийско-Новозеландской епархией РПЦЗ.
Рано утром в аэропорту владыку встречали священники Георгий и Гавриил Лапардины и протод. Александр Котляров. В резиденции руководителя епархии в сиднейском районе Кройдон епископа Георгия приветствовал Первоиерарх РПЦЗ владыка Иларион. После того, как владыка Георгий разместился в своей новой квартире, находящейся рядом с резиденцией митрополита Илариона, за чаем, в теплой дружеской обстановке редактор «Единения» попросил архиереев рассказать о новом этапе в жизни нашей епархии. On Thursday 16 April at 5:45am AEST, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra arrived in Sydney to his new appointment as the Vicar of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese. Bishop George was greeted at the airport by Archpriest George Lapardin (dean of Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Strathfield), Priest Gabriel Lapardin (rector of St Seraphim’s parish, Brisbane) and Protodeacon Alexander Kotlaroff.
Bishop George was then driven to the Diocese where he was warmly greeted by His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand and received the keys to his apartment. Breakfast was served. (more…)

On 6-7 April, 2015, we were blessed to welcome His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, our First Hierarch and Diocesan Bishop, to officiate at the celebration of the patronal (parish) feastday of the Holy Annunciation parish in Brisbane, which is the only full-time English language parish in the city of Brisbane.
On the eve of the feast, His Eminence celebrated the Great Vigil with Litia in the assistance of visiting clergy and lay people from all of the Russian Orthodox parishes of Brisbane. (more…)

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, St Patrick Mission had the inestimable privilege of welcoming the wonder-working Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “Of the Sign” for the All-Night Vigil of Palm Sunday.Around 60 of the faithful attended for all or part of the litya prior to the Vigil and for the Vigil itself. The Vigil was served by the rector: Priest Peter Hill, generously assisted by Hieromonk Tikhon, who accompanied the holy Icon. We were also pleased to welcome later Priest Jeremy Krieg, who came after the conclusion of the Vigil at St Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church. (more…)
