28 Dec 19: Gunning Fire – Appeal to help the widow of Priest Seraphim Slade
On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, exactly one year since the repose of Fr Seraphim Slade, the first Australian Aboriginal Orthodox priest, the house and chapel where his widow, Matushka Elena, lived in Gunning, NSW, Australia, burned down.
Divine Liturgy was celebrated on that day, after which the worshipers went to the cemetery to perform a memorial service over the late priest’s grave.
On the way back they noticed smoke over the house and discovered that it was enveloped in flames.

27 октября 2019 года, в Неделю 19-ю по Пятидесятнице, день памяти святых отцов VII Вселенского Собора, Патриарший экзарх Юго-Восточной Азии митрополит Сингапурский и Юго-Восточно-Азиатский Сергий и викарий Сиднейской и Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии епископ Канберрский Георгий совершили Божественную литургию в Петропавловском кафедральном соборе в Сиднее.
Иерархам сослужили клирики Патриаршего экзархата Юго-Восточной Азии, ставропигиальных приходов Московского Патриархата в Австралии и Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии. (more…)
