29 Oct 24: Holy Protection Church Cabramatta NSW celebrates its patronal feast day
On October 14, 2024, His Eminence Archbishop George of Sydney Australia and New Zealand together with His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Holy Protection Church in Cabramatta NSW for its patronal feast day. Co-serving with the hierarchs were Archpriest Boris Ignatievsky, who marked 30 years in the priesthood, along with neighbouring clergy and Archpriest Seraphim Chemodakov and Protodeacon Nathan clerics of the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York (more…)
13 Oct 24: His Eminence Archbishop George together with His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield
On the 15th Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence Archbishop George of Sydney Australia and New Zealand together with His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield. The Cathedral clergy joined them in co-serving the service.
The sermon delivered by Vladyka Gabriel focused on the Gospel reading of the day, encouraging the faithful to draw spiritual lessons and apply them in their daily lives.
The choir, under the skilled direction of Andrei Laptev, sang beautifully during the Divine Liturgy, enhancing the service’s spiritual atmosphere with their harmonious voices. (more…)

26 сентября 2024 г, в праздник Воздвижения Креста Господня, Владыка Георгий совершил богослужение в Петропавловском кафедральном соборе в Стратфилде. Вечером былo отслуженo Bсенощное бдение c чинoм воздвижения Креста, а на следующий день — Божественная Литургия, посвященная этому великому празднику напоминая верующим о значении Креста в христианской жизни и искупительной жертве Христа.

Eight years ago, a new Russian Orthodox male choir was founded in Australia. On September 17, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia received Archpriest Michael Protopopov, Chancellor of the Diocese of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Rector of the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Dandenong, Australia, at the Patriarchal residence in Chisty Lane in Moscow.
Taking part in the meeting was His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations. (more…)

On Thursday 8 August and Friday 9 August we had services in honour of Great Martyr Panteleimon (+305 AD), the heavenly patron of our parish. All-night Vigil with the blessing of wheat, wine, oil and five loaves was served on Thursday evening. Concelebrating with the parish rector were Priest Simon Nekipelov, rector of All Saints of Russia parish, Croydon, and Deacon Michal Matys of the Wallsend parish. (more…)

«ТЫ ЕСИ БОГ, ТВОРЯЙ ЧУДЕСА»
В этом году у нас в приходе случилась как будто вторая Пасха — посещение мироточивой иконы Гавайской Иверской Божией Матери. Такое количество людей в церкви было только на Пасху: собрался не только весь наш приход, но и прихожане других мельбурнских храмов, пришли греки, сербы, македонцы, румыны, приехал автобус с паломниками из Аделаиды с о. Алексием Жуковым и м. Марией. Столько священства! Столько знакомых и незнакомых, но одинаково счастливых и приветливых лиц! Радостно и светло было в храме, наполнившимся сиянием сотен свечей, ароматом от чудотворной иконы, полнозвучием нашего клироса и словно укутанного любовью Самой Матери Божией. Многие старались сделать фотографии иконы, запечатлеть на видео красоту богослужения, поймать и сохранить на память удивительную атмосферу праздника. Сотни молитв, слезных прошений, просьб о помощи и защите приняла Богородица в этот вечер… Она не оставит никого без ответа. (more…)
