17 Oct 18: Statement by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church concerning the encroachment of the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the canonical territory of the Russian Church
With profound pain the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church has taken the report of the Patriarchate of Constantinople published on October 11, 2018, about the following decisions of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople: confirming the intention “to grant autocephaly to the Ukrainian Church; opening a “stauropegion” of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in Kiev; “restoring in the rank of bishop or priest” the leaders of the Ukrainian schism and their followers and “returning their faithful to church communion”; “recalling the 1686 patent of the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the transfer of the Metropolis of Kiev to the Moscow Patriarchate as its part. 10 сентября 2018 года, на 75-ом году жизни, после тяжелой и продолжительной болезни отошла ко Господу матушка Кира Михайловна, верная спутница митрофорного протоиерея Михаила Протопопова.
Кира Михайловна родилась в Харбине (Китай) в семье русского инженера энергетика Михаила Николаевича Рождественского и гречанки Евгении Георгиевны Евангелидис, фармацевта.
27 ноября 1943 года, в 10 лет она вместе с родными переезжает в город Лаврион под Афинами (Греция) и там завершает свое образование. (more…)

11 Sep 18: Скончалась матушка Кира Михайловна Протопопова / Matushka Kira Protopopov reposed in the Lord
В понедельник, 10 сентября 2018, после тяжелой и продолжительной болезни отошла ко Господу матушка Кира Михайловна Протопопова, супруга митр. протоиерея Михаила Протопопова старейшего клирика Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии.
Отпевание матушки состоится в понедельник, 17 сентября в 10:00, в Богородице-Успенском Храме г. Данденонг.
Епархиальное управление выражает глубокие соболезнования о. Михаилу, родным и близким.

5 Sep 18: His Grace Bishop George of Canberra ordained deacon Michael Storozhev to the rank of priest at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield
On Sunday, 2 September 2018, the feast day of Prophet Samuel, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield together with Archpriest George Lapardin, dean of the cathedral, protodeacons Alexander Kotlaroff, Constantine Moshegov, Martin Naef and deacon Michael Storozhev.
Following the Great Entrance, deacon Michael Storozhev was ordained to the rank of Priest. Fr Michael is assigned to the clergy staff of the cathedral. After the service the sisterhood prepared a festive lunch for all who attended.
2 Sep 18: His Grace Bishop George visits Our Lady’s Dormition Church Dandenong
On Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th August 2018 Our Lady’s Dormition Church, Dandenong VIC celebrated its parish feast day. The services were lead by His Grace Bishop George. Co-served with His Grace were the rector Archpriest Michael Protopopov, priest Alexei Jukov and clergy from the neighbouring parishes.
