В понедельник, 6 января, и во вторник, 7 января 2025 года, в дни великого праздника Рождества Христова, Высокопреосвященнейший Георгий, Архиепископ Сиднейский и Австралийско-Новозеландский, возглавил Всенощное бдение и Божественную Литургию в Петропавловском кафедральном соборе в Стратфилде.

Его Высокопреосвященству сослужили клирики собора, при множество алтарников. Богослужение началось со встречи и облачения архиерея. Перед началом литургии Владыка Георгий благословил троих алтарников на ношение ораря. (more…)

On 6th and 7th January 2025, the joyous occasion of the Nativity of Christ, His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia, and New Zealand, presided over the divine services at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield.
His Eminence was co-served by the Cathedral clergy, while the altar was graced by 21 dedicated altar servers. The divine Liturgy began with the bishop’s vesting. Following the vesting, Vladyka George bestowed a special blessing upon three altar servers, granting them the honour of wearing the orarion.

7 января, в день Рождества Христова прошли праздничные службы в православных храмах Австралии. Редактор “Единения” побывал в Петропавловском соборе Сиднея (в Стратфилде).

На праздник день выдался тихим, ясным и приятно теплым. Литургию, которая началась в 9 утра, возглавил епископ Австралийско-Новозеландский и Сиднейский Георгий. Ему сослужили соборные священники Георгий Лапардин и Михаил Сторожев, протодиаконы Александр Котляров и гость из Аделаиды Павел Токарев. Особенно торжественно и величественно неслись с клироса песнопения церковного хора, регент Андрей Лаптев. (more…)

16 Jan 24: His Grace Bishop George celebrates the feast of The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield

On Saturday, 6th January 2024, the eve of The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop George of Sydney Australia and New Zealand served the Great Compline, Litiya and Matins at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield. Co-serving with His Grace were the Cathedral clergy. The following morning, the Cathedral clergy greeted Bishop George and the Divine Liturgy commenced.

The Cathedral was filled with the faithful, most of whom received Holy Communion. The choir sang in the spirit of the feast under the direction of Andrei Laptev. The Nativity Epistle from Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad was read to the faithful. (more…)
