7 января, в день Рождества Христова прошли праздничные службы в православных храмах Австралии. Редактор “Единения” побывал в Петропавловском соборе Сиднея (в Стратфилде).
На праздник день выдался тихим, ясным и приятно теплым. Литургию, которая началась в 9 утра, возглавил епископ Австралийско-Новозеландский и Сиднейский Георгий. Ему сослужили соборные священники Георгий Лапардин и Михаил Сторожев, протодиаконы Александр Котляров и гость из Аделаиды Павел Токарев. Особенно торжественно и величественно неслись с клироса песнопения церковного хора, регент Андрей Лаптев. (more…)

On Saturday, 6th January 2024, the eve of The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop George of Sydney Australia and New Zealand served the Great Compline, Litiya and Matins at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield. Co-serving with His Grace were the Cathedral clergy. The following morning, the Cathedral clergy greeted Bishop George and the Divine Liturgy commenced.
The Cathedral was filled with the faithful, most of whom received Holy Communion. The choir sang in the spirit of the feast under the direction of Andrei Laptev. The Nativity Epistle from Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad was read to the faithful. (more…)
