The members of the 4th Episcopal Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of Oceania welcomed the opportunity to meet in Sydney on Monday 28th April, 2014, under the chairmanship ex officio of His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos of Australia.

5 Apr 14: Lenten Pastoral Retreat and Conference 2014
On Tuesday 24 March and Wednesday 25 March 2014 the clergy of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese gathered in Sydney, NSW, for the customary Lenten Pastoral Retreat and Conference.
On Tuesday evening at the Archbishop’s Chapel of All Saints of Russia in Croydon, an inner suburb of Sydney, the Rule of Preparation for Holy Communion was read and Lenten Matins was served. The clergy formed the choir for both services. Hieromonk Dorofei (Urusau) read the akathist during the Rule of Preparation for Holy Communion and Mitred Archpriest Michael Li presided during Matins. 2 Mar 14: Prayers for the Health of Protodeacon Nicholas Triantafillidis
As recently posted on the Western American Diocese website, we are saddened to hear of the sudden illness of our former Protodeacon Nicholas Triantafillidis. Father Nicholas began serving as a deacon in the All Saints of Russia Church, Croydon and later was transferred to Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, Strathfield where he served for many years.
We request all clergy and lay people of our Diocese to pray for the health and recovery of Father Nicholas and for God to give strength to his family during this difficult time.

Высокопреосвященнейший владыка Иларион издал указ, согласно которому во всех монастырях и приходах Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии следует возносить за богослужениями следующее прошение:
“Еще молимся Тебе, Господи Вседержителю, о еже умирити сотрясаемую междоусобною бранию мать градов русских Киев, и всю страну Киевския Руси, силою благодати Пресвятаго Твоего Духа, погасити всякую ненависть и ожесточение, благости Источение и человеколюбия Пучино, скоро услыши и, яко милосерд, помилуй”. 23 Jan 14: Mитрополит Иларион Посетил Лагерь НОВ / Metropolitan Hilarion Visited Camp ‘RUS’
В Великий Праздник Богоявления, 19 января, Первоиерарх Русской Православной Церкви Заграницей, митрополит Иларион посетил лагерь НОВ. Лагерь расположен в голубых горах в поселке Блэкхит недалеко от Сиднея. Ежегодные лагерные смены проводятся на протяжении уже более пятидесяти лет.
Первоиерарх соверщил чин великого освящения воды. Ему сослужили архимандрит Пётр (Кондратьев) из Канады и иеромонах Тихон (Гайфудинов) келейник митрополита. Также священнослужители провели беседы с ребятами на тему «Крещения Господня» и «Проблемы в современном мире». Дети с интересом задавали вопросы на разнообразные темы и получали не менее интересные ответы. Был проведен парад, во время которого Алексей Николаевич Селезнев наградил участников почетными грамотами и медалями. (more…)
